Essay about Death of a Naturalist Analysis - 455 Words

Death of a Naturalist The poem, like Seamus Heaney’s work, is very nature minded in terms of context. However, he describes the frogs in a very evil, sinister, and menacing way. It is about a child who collects frog spawn from the dam and collects it in jars. He is innocent and unaware of the evil that lurks in the frog spawn. We can see in the poem that the boy is young, when he remembers his teacher teaching him about the frogs, and his way of calling the frogs ‘Daddy frog’ and ‘Mammy Frog’. The poem heavily appeals to the senses, which describes the more sinister parts of nature. Because when people think of nature they usually think of the more beautiful parts of it (e.g. mountains etc.) The poems appeal to senses shows how filthy†¦show more content†¦Words like slap, pop, slobber, farting, and croaked illustrates the realism of how the flax-dam is. The use of using onomatopoeia is to describe the nature and the surroundings, and to show the uncertainty that is going through the boy’s mind in the second stanza. Sibilant sounds are also used in the poem. Words like slap, slime, sods, and spawn show the uncertainty and the tension that the boy is under. Heaney also uses stop sounds to show his frightful and uncertain mood (Bluebottles, Poised, Grenades, Mud, Farting, Blunt, Kings, Vengeance etc). This stops the reader from flowing which gives a sense of uncertainty. Heaney uses the description of the frogs to convey the uncertainty that the boy is feeling. He describes the frogs as ‘†¦angry’, ‘†¦gross-bellied’ (which also uses stop sounds). They are described as having ‘†¦loose necks’ and ‘†¦blunt heads, farting’. This is used to describe the boy’s abhorrence he has for the frogs. He refers to the frogs as ‘†¦great slime kings’, which shows, in the boy’s imagination, that the frogs are rebellious and that they have ‘...turned’ on him, seeking ‘†¦for vengeance’. Another technique which Heaney uses to convey the frogs rebellious actions are using war terms about them. He depicts them as ‘†¦mud grenades’ and that they ‘†¦invaded’ the flax-dam. This portrays the conflict that is going on between the boy and the frogs, or in a contextual way, how Northern Ireland is in conflict.Show MoreRelatedDeath of a Naturalist Seamus Heaney Analysis Essays867 Words   |  4 PagesDeath of a Naturalist analysis Title * Dramatic * Evokes sadness – Heaney’s childhood innocence is lost * Metaphorical death – ‘death of innocence’ Content * It is partially linked to Blackberry-Picking in that: * It shows the good side of nature * It shows the harshness of nature * It shows Heaney’s childhood * The first stanza, Heaney describes how the frogs would spawn in the lint hole, with a digression into his collecting the spawn, and how his teacherRead MoreLiterary Analysis Of Heaneys Death Of A Naturalist1071 Words   |  5 PagesThe title of the poem â€Å"Death of a Naturalist† is very suggestive itself; the death of someone who loved nature. Compare and Contrast Maggie and Dee free essay sample

Our short weekend trip to New York to visit friends started out fine, just like any other time. We had no idea this one was going to be much more eventful and not in a good way. Just as I asked my sister â€Å"Can this day get any worse? † It did get worse. Just like any other trip, my sister and I were singing along to the songs on the radio to make the time pass by quicker. About half way to our destination the â€Å"low fuel† button lit up on the dashboard, we didn’t really pay attention to it, as we were having a great time laughing and singing. About fifteen miles later we looked at the dashboard and saw that the fuel level had fallen at the red line, and that’s when all the singing and laughing stopped. We realized that we needed to take the next exit to fill up. We will write a custom essay sample on Compare and Contrast Maggie and Dee or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Unfortunately, there was no exit in sight, not for another twenty miles. We drove slower to get better gas mileage so that we make it to the next gas station. This twenty-mile drive seemed to be endless as we panicked and prayed to be able to reach the next exit with the gas we had left. As we finally turned into the gas station property, the car stopped. A few guys that were there helped us push the car to the pump. We finally filled up and were able to continue our drive. As I started driving with much excitement I didn’t realize I was going fifteen miles above the speed limit. Unfortunately, there was a police officer that pulled me over. I was no so excited anymore, when the officer walked up to the window of the car. As I rolled down the window my sister smiled, explained very politely to him what happened right before that got us so carried away we speed up so excitingly. Fortunately, the officer was very kind and let us go with a warning. I was overjoyed like a kid on Christmas morning at that moment and was sure nothing else would go wrong. However, about five miles from our destination the road went up and down like an exciting roller-coaster, so we could not see what’s ahead of us. Just as we got past the peak of the hill, we heard a loud â€Å"bang† and the car jerked to the left. I knew I had hit something. The roads were very narrow and had no light poles eventhogh it was a dark night. There was no way to pull over and see what had happened. We continued to drive very slowly and I was paranoid because I was afraid of hitting something else. Finally, when we got to the house we were going to stay at, our friends got flashlights out to see what happened to the car. Everything looked fine, besides the left fog light on the car, which got ripped off by whatever the car hit all that was left was cords that connected to it. That didn’t upset us much anymore. We were just felt so lucky to finally be there and relax from all the stress. That weekend went great and we soon forgot about the things that happened on the way to New York. We headed home, again singing along with the radio and laughing. We didn’t suspect anything would happen this time, since we had gone through a lot on the first part of the trip. And everything did go well, until about ten miles from home. Suddenly the car started making a very loud bobbling sound, so we pulled over to the right side of the highway as quickly as we could. As we walked out of the car, we saw the tire was shredded. Fortunately, we were very close to home and were able to get hold of our brother, who is very good with cars. He was unhappy to have to wake up since he had just fallen asleep, but he did come out to help us out. My sister and I were so exhausted by now. We didn’t even wait for our brother to finish putting on the spare tire. So, we took his car and drove straight home hoping that everything would go right. With our lack of good luck that weekend, we were ready for anything to happen.

Advantages and Disadvantages of E

Advantages and Disadvantages of E E-learning is the use technology and different forms of electronic devices in learning or teaching, either through internet or intranet means like online instructors and experts, self-paced studying or delivery of taped information in DVDs and CD-ROM. E-learning can include the use of written text, pictures, virtual information, animations and video or audio (Fuller 2009).Advertising We will write a custom report sample on Advantages and Disadvantages of E-Learning specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More This enables learners to get information any time and at any location through the web, computers, virtual methods or using digital material. E-learning is not necessarily academic or for the purpose of receiving awards; it includes some basic forms like knowledge databases which offer information on how to perform some specific tasks or guidelines, answers and explanations for questions . There are many advantages and disadvantages of e-lear ning as compared to traditional learning methods. One of the main advantages of e-learning is convenience, in that it enables an individual to access learning material at any time and from any place as long as their electronic devices are properly configured. People who are working or have busy schedules can learn at their own pace without having to meet set time deadlines and without worrying about being late for classes, they do not have to quit their jobs or leave their families when they go to schools or colleges. Studies are done at home where people do not have to travel and so there is no problem of security when travelling to the learning venues (Fuller 2009). Older people who were not able to pursue their studies or people in the corporate world who need to upgrade their skills or gain new skills can learn through the internet and avoid embarrassing and intimidating situations of being in a classroom setting with younger students and having to compete with them for classroo m resources. The flexibility, availability and affordability of e-learning have made it attractive to many companies and organization and most of them use this method in training and educating their staff (Ebner 2007). A company can train its workforce from different parts of the world at the same time from a single location. Individuals can also terminate their studies whenever they feel under pressure, or when they do not have enough time and continue later when they are ready. E-learning has made it easier for people to pursue long distant learning programs especially at graduate and post graduate levels, where people who are doing research projects are able to communicate with their instructors from anywhere. E-learning exposes student to advanced communication technology that provides them with the experience that is helpful to them in the modern corporate world. Due to globalization and the advancement of information technology, organizations have expanded their businesses to different parts of the world. This makes it difficult and expensive to conduct meetings at the company headquarters or at one particular station.Advertising Looking for report on education? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More Many organizations and enterprises are adopting modern communication technology like sending e-mails, on-line memos and the use of video conferencing methods instead of physical meetings. They also store and up-date their information online and so they expect their employees to be conversant with modern systems of information technology if they are going to be competent enough to work for them (Ebner 2007). Another advantage of e-learning is that it allows for opportunities to study anything. There are a variety of different courses in different education levels and from many colleges both local and international, which are on offer in the internet. A student is able to choose their preferred course which might not be offered in the colleges and universities near them. They can also pursue several different courses in the same institution or in different institutions at the same time depending on their flexibility. Scholars who are far from learning institutions can pursue education via the internet at competitive and affordable prices. It is also beneficial to international students, the advancement of communication technology and internet in the world makes it possible for people especially in poor countries in the developing world to have the alternative of pursuing quality education in colleges and universities abroad without having to incur transport, visa and living costs. This also encourages institutions to provide scholarships and learning opportunities since they do not have to take care of the student. This makes it possible for them to acquire knowledge and information that helps them in developing their countries. A greater number of students can also pursue there education since they do not have to rely on government or private support, small enterprises and organizations are also able to sponsor students (Dasgupta 2006). Research information can be retrieved from the internet with the availability of online journals, books, web articles, and magazines, et cetera. E-learning is also cheap as compared to classroom learning with the reduction of print material, furniture and teachers salaries, one reading session can hold a bigger number of student who cannot be contained in a single classroom or lecture theatre (Fuller,2009 ). The created material can be accessed in the internet and it can be easily stored or transferred sometimes with the payment of a small fee, this reduces the necessity of having to go to a library or buying whole books and journals when one is interested in a particular topic or article. This material remains in the internet and it is not easily tampered and so its quality and reliability is guaranteed (Ebner 2007).Adver tising We will write a custom report sample on Advantages and Disadvantages of E-Learning specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Another advantage of e-learning is interacting and socializing with other student who come from different areas, in more advanced situations the use of on-line discussions groups, e-mails and video conferencing enables student to exchange information and reading materials. They can also assist each other with problems in their studies without having to meet through collaborative learning (Ebner 2007). Students can meet other people with similar learning styles who are from different cultures and backgrounds. The interaction and integration of students from different cultures diversifies their learning especially on social and other non-scientific subjects. There are healthier and interesting discussions and debates. Students are able to look at their learning from different perspectives. A disadvantage of e- lear ning is that it requires computer and internet knowledge and skills and most people might not have them, it is highly sophisticated and that makes it expensive (Ebner 2007). It also requires one to have uninterrupted and easy internet and computer access, one must be computer savvy to be able to obtain full advantage of this method of learning and also keep on updating themselves on new technological innovations and developments. People have to keep updating themselves with new material from time to time or else they are left behind in their studies (Fuller 2009). E-learning lacks physical interaction between students and their teachers and among students themselves as compared to a classroom setting. It mainly depends on student initiative and the students are responsible for their learning. This can be a disadvantage to those students who learn at slow pace and need assistance or to ask questions because they might be left behind or miss important points (Dasgupta 2006). It is dif ficult to teach subjects that require discussions and debates because even when there is opportunity for interaction, the time is limited and very few people can participate. E-learning can also be boring and tiring when an individual has to sit in front of a computer or listen to an educational tape or video for many hours alone without any other form of interaction which they can also take part, they can doze off.Advertising Looking for report on education? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More There have been arguments about health problems and issues that are related with spending huge amount of times on computers, some people argue that this has a bad impact on socialization, there are also problems associated with lack of exercise due to long sitting hours like obesity and also eyesight complications (Dasgupta 2006). Another problem of e-learning is that people who have a short concentration span might not be able to concentrate when they are studying, either because of the environments in which they are studying or because they get easily distracted, for example in the case of nursing mothers and housewives. A classroom setting ensures that people have close and one on one contact with their trainers and this can increase their concentration, there are opportunities for teamwork and group work in classes and students can ask questions or discuss. There is also no follow up on students who drop out of e-learning either because they loose interest or because they lack t he time to continue studying or they do not have the competence in using information technology. It is easier for students to copy and cheat in assignments especially when there are no sit-in exams. Students can pay other people to do their assignments for them or submit copied work without being noticed by their supervisors. Another problem is assessing the standard, quality and effectiveness of e-learning based courses. Due to the large number and wide variety of courses offered in e-learning, it is difficult to ascertain the impact and quality of knowledge that many e-learning students acquire and whether they are able to keep and apply the acquired knowledge in their different fields and professions when they get through with their studies (Dasgupta 2006 ). E-learning is also not effective when learning sciences or performing scientific experiments. Although there might be well outlined and elaborated guidelines, there is still need for physical supervision to make sure that stu dents clearly understand and follow the instructions and to also make sure that the results are correct and consistent. This cannot be done through e-learning because the instructor needs to teach and observe every student individually. Most applied sciences which involve practical experiments can only be taught effectively in a classroom or laboratory setting. E-learning can also be challenging when learning languages with parts and sounds that require listening and practicing. Many people learn foreign languages in colleges and e-learning might not effectively deliver this knowledge. E-learning has its many advantages and disadvantages. It is important to note that with the rapid spread and advancement of information technology, it is the best way of acquiring education. It is also preferred when there is time constraint and its costs are much less than those of other traditional forms of teaching (Fuller 2009). Blending of e-learning and other traditional classroom and visual met hods ensures that students are able to receive better and quality education. The Significance of Art Education to Stakeholders Thesis

The Significance of Art Education to Stakeholders - Thesis Example The results indicate that most of the teachers, administrators, and members of the board of education valued art education. This is seen where 70% of the teachers felt that art education should not be eliminated during budget cuts, with 20% of them disagreeing with the idea that art education should not be eliminated during budget cuts. In addition, 80% of the administrators and all members of the board of education agreed that art education should not be eliminated during budget cuts. This response is an indication of the high value teachers, administrators, board of educators and the commuity at large, have to art education. This high regard for art education is seen where all teachers agree that art education increases the visual and spatial skills of the learner. This response was also seen with the administrators and board of educators. Where, 60% of the administrators strongly agreed and 40% agreed, while 40% of the members of the board of education strongly agreed with 60% agr eeing, that art education increases the visual and spatial skills of the learner. These results are in agreement with literature, that indicated that the arts play an important role in enhacing the intrinsic value and general academic achievement of the student (Ashford, 2004,

Network Effects and Path Dependence Research Paper - 2

Network Effects and Path Dependence - Research Paper Example Network effect or direct-benefit effect is considered to be a vital part of economics and business. It is a kind of effect which determines that for certain sorts of decisions, an individual would incur an explicit benefit when he/she aligns their behaviour with the behaviour of other individuals. In this context, it is determined that the value of a product is directly dependent on the number of users using it (Kemper 67-84). Path dependence can be stated as a substitute analytical process for economics which is acknowledged to be a radical change of the neo-classical standards. It is a process of economic allocation where the arrangement of allocating determinates such as technology, factor, endowment, preference and institution not only depend on certain fundamentals but also depend on a particular contingent event. Instead of converting into an identified determinant, the process has undergone a number of potential equilibrium and selects it on the basis of the specific history o f the process. It is worth mentioning that a positive feedback from the agents also helps in increasing the impact related to specific early selections and further actions that are to be done accordingly (1Liebowitz and Margolis, â€Å"Path Dependence, Lock-In, and History†; Perkins 1-8). However, numerous questions have been raised by a number of critics in order to derive an understanding regarding the conditions based on which an allocation path depends. The answer to this question can be provided by focusing on two issues which include the structure of the explicit network that helps in identifying the interdependency of the agent’s choice. Secondly, the characteristics of the rapidly emerging technological changes are also viewed to have an impact on the features of the different potential equilibrium and the permanence of â€Å"lock-in† to a specific path of allocation. In this context, David’s (1985) view can also be highlighted wherein he stated that the homomorphism of path dependency mainly depends on technology, institutions, organizations and other vital aspects.  Ã‚

Billing and Coding Essay Example for Free

Billing and Coding Essay Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Level II entail nationwide codes used to report supplies and services offered within outpatient locations to Medicaid and Medicare patients that are left out by HCPSC Level I (Current Procedural Terminology -CPT) code. Recent HIPAA federal regulations require regular electronic claims to have Level II regulations. Many big countrywide players, like employee’s compensation financiers, acknowledge HCPCS level II regulations. Local Medicare transporters, business publishers, CMS, or Ingenix provide such codes (Smith, 2003). Suitable HCPCS level II regulations come before CPT codes regarding Medicare invoicing. However, numerous private players choose National Drug Codes (NDC) or Level I regulations instead of HCPCS Level II regulations, which may confuse medical care experts, thus causing denial of claims. Medical care experts ought to confirm that they are describing the correct regulations to the appropriate players through careful tracking of the billing and reporting needs of specific players. Level II regulations Describes Many heath products, however, such codes do not name real products or endorse them by assigning codes. Additionally, generation of such codes happens separate from reimbursement issues. Therefore, Level II regulations only serve to indicate the availability of a service or product in the wider health system, as opposed to justifying reimbursement (Smith, 2003). Players individually develop HCPCS Level II regulations’ criteria and rules which vary between players. HCPCS Level II regulations are comprised of a single alphabetical character (from A to V), then 4 digits. Letter ‘I’ is excluded since it may easily be confused with number ‘1’. Every letter group represents one or more areas of comparable services or products. Every letter group, and code illustrations from specific sections, are fully described on ensuing screens (http://docs. google. com/gview? a=vq=cache:DIuMS2X_QrgJ:www. ngsmedicare. com/ngsmedi are/DMEMAC/educationandSupport/ToolsandMaterials/SupManual/chapter14. pdf+Level+II+o +HCPCS+applies+and+Medicarehl=engl=ke). A regulations deal with various products and services, particularly tracheostomies, urologicals, and ostomies-related supplies. A codes also include Affordable DME, or equipments costing not more than $150, such as nebulizer substitution equipment. A code subcategories include: transport services; surgical and medical supplies; and miscellaneous, investigational, and administrative supplies and services. B codes handle parenteral and enteral nutrition services and supplies. B code-reported supplies include: feed supplies; dietary solutions; formulae; and combination pumps. C codes cover services compensated under Medicare’s OPPS -Outpatient Prospective Payment System. They don’t cover services compensated under different Medicare reimbursement systems. Private entities as well use C codes for compensation. Such codes are mandated by Medicare to report: biological, devices, and drugs qualified for intermediary pass-through imbursements for health facilities; and items categorized within fresh technology Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APC). D codes entail dental regulations. The American Dental Association (ADA) has copyrighted the Current Dental Terminology (CDT). ADA supplies such codes to CMS. E codes document Durable Medical Equipment (DME) like crutches, canes, commodes, walkers, pacemakers, restraints, wheelchairs, hospital beds, and patient lifts. G codes report professional medical care services and processes such as specialized services being considered for incorporation within the CPT code scheme and provisional procedures. National Medicaid organizations legally mandated to develop separate systems for recognizing psychological health services such as drug therapy and alcohol services use H codes. J codes describe drugs which are not normally self-administered, immunosuppressive and chemotherapy drugs pant solutions, plus other solutions and drugs. The proper code depends on factors like; dose; and administration route. K codes entail temporary DME, drugs, and supplies codes. They are generated when the relevant existing nationwide codes exclude codes needed to execute medical evaluation policies. Once endorsed for lasting incorporation into HCPCS, such codes become E, J, and A codes. L codes comprise of scoliosis apparatus, prosthetic insertions, orthopedic shoes, plus prosthetic and orphic devices and procedures. M codes cover medical services and they include: M0064; M0075; M0100; M0300; and M0301. P codes cover laboratory and pathology services and include screening laboratory and pathology services like testing Papanicolaou procedures and serum products (Smith, 2003). Q codes report many supplies and services including provisional cast provisions codes which facilitate splints and casts reimbursement after the modification of Medicare’s compensation technology. Such codes substitute ambiguous splinting and casting supplies’ codes. R codes cover analytic radiology services and document moving of moveable electrocardiogram or x-ray apparatus to patients’ homes, nursing homes, or different facilities. The Health Insurance Association (HIAA) Blue Cross/Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) uses S codes to document services, supplies, and drugs without countrywide codes, but where private entities require codes for program and policy implementation or processing of claims. Medicaid recognizes such codes; nonetheless, such are not payable. T codes report supplies and services without other stable codes. Medicaid does not accept T codes; however, they may be recognized by private entities. They describe: substance abuse therapy; home and nursing-related services; and training-related processes. V codes cover supplied and services concerned with hearing, vision, plus speech-language pathology. Vision-related provisions include: lenses; spectacles; and ocular prostheses. Hearing services consist of: hearing analyses; and hearing equipment and supplies. Speech language pathology processes include: modification or repair of supportive communication device or system; and dysphagia, language, and speech screening (http://www. lectureshare. com/download. php? q=HCPCS+overview_021532. pdfr=doc. cuban mile :: essays research papers

The Special Period in Cuba can best be described as a time of struggle. The dissatisfaction of many Cubans has led to their emigration to the United States by traveling in rafts to the coast of Florida. The Cuban people have different views regarding the trip to exile as well as the motivations to stay or leave Cuba. In Alejandro Hernandez Diaz’s book, The Cuba Mile, and in the movie â€Å"Guantanamera†, we see some of the different ways in which Cuban Culture views the Special Period, the trip to exile, and the motivations behind staying or leaving Cuba.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The year 1991 marked the beginning of the Special Period and hard times have existed in Cuba ever since. Many Cubans are tired of the hardships and shortages of the Special Period. To try and make ends meet many Cubans have adapted to the tough times by making money in the Black Market. In â€Å"Guantanamera†, both the cabdriver and Mariano use the Black Market to make extra money. As they travel across the island, they buy food to be resold at a higher price when they arrive in Havana. Many Cubans feel that the Revolution is no longer working and that it is time for a change. In â€Å"Guantanamera†, symbolism of this idea is clearly demonstrated. In the movie, a story from the Santeria religion is told. The god of Olofin is represented in the movie, Olofin created life but not death. Therefore, everyone lived forever and the elderly people held control and influenced many aspects of society. Nothing ever changed much like the Cuban government which is old and unchanging. Then, one day Olofin made it rain for thirty days and thirty nights. The flood killed the old and only the young survived. The current revolution is old, and is not working as well as it did in the 1970’s. The movie is calling for the need of a natural process, like the rain to come and wash away the old revolution’s ideas so new and young ideas can survive in Cuba. However, many Cubans feel that the situation is not going to change and their desire to leave Cuba is so strong that they risk their lives by rafting across the Straits of Florida in order to gain freedom and opportunities in the United States.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The hardships of the Special Period became so considerable many Cubans chose to take their chances with the ocean. Large quantities of Cubans began to construct rafts in order to escape to the United States. They hoped to either survive the 90 mile trip or be discovered by the U.S. coastguard and brought to the United States.

Myself, the Writer Essay

Every human being in this world has what he or she enjoys doing. On my part, I have a liking for writing and it has become my hobby since my high school years. I developed fondness towards the art of writing after having been encouraged by my language teacher. She used to do a lot of writing and had written several books and articles that were published in journals, magazines, and newspapers. She used to write on virtually every topic especially on issues that were emergent within the society. This teacher became my role model. This paper shall give a summary of the reasons and challenges I meet during writing. Reasons and Challenges in Writing: As stated earlier in the introduction, I developed my desire in writing during my high school days and from that time I have enjoyed every bit of my hobby, writing on almost every topic in the day to day life in the society. One of the main reasons as to why I have a liking for writing is that I have a strong yearning to progress in writing. Writing also assists me in developing new skills and advancing knowledge on various subjects. Writing also helps me in expressing my feelings (Hodges, p 9). There are however many challenges that I encounter in writing. Extra caution is needed when writing due to the strict rules and legislations that have been established to govern writing. These acts to limit the extent to which an individual would wish to express his/her ideas (Elbow, p 12). Writing can also be a challenge in that finding the right words does not come easy. Writing requires total commitment and it may be discouraging especially when you are unable to come up with the necessary words that would express a phenomenon (Elbow, p 26). Writing can not be done in a haphazard manner and therefore requires adequate time and vast research on the topic. Writers get frustrated when some topics of interest do not have enough information upon conducting research. Conclusion: Writing is part and parcel of my life and despite the challenges that I face, I am determined to overcome them and excel. It is only through writing that the unspoken minds can be read and understood. Just like any other field, success in writing requires total commitment. Work Cited: Elbow, Peter. Countering Human Trafficking - Free Essay Example

Sample details Pages: 2 Words: 597 Downloads: 5 Date added: 2019/05/07 Category Society Essay Level High school Tags: Human Trafficking Essay Did you like this example? Human trafficking is a way people use other humans for money, drugs and pleasure, these people who traffick young people manipulate and and lie to them to make them think that what they are doing is right. People struggle everyday fighting for their lives, everyday is different a whole new battle for them they wake up not free to their own life. Many have been killed and left to be found trying to leave, once youre in youre in and its hard to get out. Due to their horrific experiences, victims of human trafficking often find themselves dependent on an antisocial lifestyle. This tells us that theres multiple side effects of this terrible thing. This is one of them, people who have been in or are in human trafficking are already scared for their life to tell people about it for the fear of not getting help and getting killed for speaking out( Mohr 22). People are so anxious to get out of human trafficking that they commit crimes just to be found and to be placed in a safe en vironment. But in prison you can still get recruited to a trafficker outside because theres girls in prison still working for outside traffickers and they will threaten them into going back into trafficking(Mohr 23). Girls will steal and transport drugs for their leader in turn of not getting raped. People have worked hard to put up organizations to help these people lost in human trafficking to show them that people are there for them and care for them. They have special ways they can notice if someone comes in and they are a human traffick victim. patients sometimes had bruises, were regularly intoxicated, came in repeatedly for sexualy transmitted infections or were angry or shut down(gaven1). They know how to take desperate measures to make these young people that are caught up in human trafficking and to save them from the fear and anger built up from human trafficking. Most of the victims in human trafficking start at an early age and continue on until either they are k illed in the trafficking or get out, but rarely does anyone get out safely(Morh 22). Its hard to treat trafficked victims because theres no specific thing that can tell you if they are being sexually sold. Doctors have a hard time with treating victims because of these reasons. People who are victims are everywhere around us and we dont even realize it. trafficking victims live across the U.S.and all to often are hidden in plain sight: at grocery stores and move theatres, or visiting dentists or doctors offices(gaven2). Doctors should treat victims with care and tenderness and treat them the same they would treat any sexually abused person. But doing that is really hard because you can never tell the difference between someone who is in traffick and someone who is not. The National Human Trafficking Hotline, tallied 8,759 cases and 10,615 individual victims of human trafficking last year. The majority of victims were female, of the adult age and trafficked for sex(gaven 2). Most victims are females many start out at a teenager and end up spending most of their life being trafficked. Though many victims are females there are some that are males. Through the hardships and abuse for however long its hard for victims to talk about what they have gone through. Many have been asked to represent in court to testify what theyve been through but many are to scared and afraid but some end up testifying and putting their past at ease(gaven 2). Don’t waste time!
